In collaboration with  Hilco Streambank (“Hilco”) Skylarc Asset Realisation is seeking offers to acquire the microbiological culture collection of MicroGem International Plc (In Liquidation) (“MicroGem” or the “Company”) on behalf of the Liquidator of MicroGem NZ Limited (In Liquidation), Malcolm Hollis of PwC and the Liquidator of the Company, Ian Robert of Moore Kingston Smith & Partners.

A collection of thermophilic Bacteria and Archaea from geothermal vents and Antarctic fungi. 

 

These samples are stored in two -80 degree freezers located in Dunedin New Zealand. Both freezers contain the same samples with one freezer serving as a backup identical collection.

 

Tenderers will need to arrange all legal authorities for transport between labs and all export permissions in the event tenderers want to move these overseas. Skylarc’s freight forwarding partners Koru Customs and International Freight can assist with the physical transportation of the collection.
